Beginning for the 2025-2026 school year, HCS students in grades K-12 are not permitted to display or use a cell phone, smartwatch, or other electronic communication device on school property during the school day.

Luella Excellence

Dedicated educators are the backbone of every thriving community, tirelessly working to inspire, nurture, and empower their students. Congratulations to our 2025Teacher of the Year: Ms. Angela Dennis and to our 2025 Educational Support Person of the Year, Ms. Monica Zellner.

Our school is committed to fostering a sense of community by offering a diverse array of clubs and organizations, including National Jr. Beta, Book Club, Art Club , Safety Patrol , Jr. Fire Marshall and more. 

 

We are committed to supporting the whole child by providing intentional, individualized support aimed at meeting each student’s unique needs. 

 

This spring, our 5th grade students demonstrated amazing growth in the area of science on or above grade level. 

 

Specials in elementary school—such as art, music, physical education, stem and world language—are vital for fostering creativity, curiosity, and well-rounded development in young learners

 

Our bus drivers earn a starting salary of $22.22/hour and totaled more than 1.9 million miles last year in service of our schools.
