Welcome, Luella Lions! 

We are excited to welcome our students and families to a brand-new school year! The Luella Elementary Counseling Department is committed to supporting the whole child and helping every student feel safe, valued, connected, and ready to learn.

Just like building a strong structure requires a solid foundation, our students need strong foundations in social-emotional skills, positive relationships, responsible decision-making, and academic success.

What We Do

Throughout the school year, our Counseling Department will help students:

Build confidence and self-esteem
Build positive friendships and relationships
Learn healthy communication and conflict-resolution skills
Understand and manage their emotions
Develop positive coping strategies
Set goals and develop perseverance
Recognize their strengths and unique abilities
Explore careers and future possibilities

Our counselors are here to partner with students, families, teachers, and staff. Whether a student is working through a friendship concern, experiencing big emotions, adjusting to a change, or simply needs a trusted adult to talk with, we are here to help!
